Day 25: Take my life...

Over the past few days we have been seeking to be obedient to God's commandments, to follow Jesus and love one another, to be humble and walk in his ways - to have Love 40 days play a part in our personal journey to offer our lives as worship to Almighty God, for his glory.  This song by Tim Hughes can help us convey our heart's cry in response to our recent readings.  If you are able to use the song as part of your personal devotions today, you can hear it here.  Otherwise you can use the lyrics below as a prayer of surrender and thanks to God:

What good is it to gain the whole world but lose your soul?
What good is it to make a sweet sound but remain proud?
In view of God's mercy, I offer my all

And take my life, let it be everything, all of me
Here I am, use me for Your glory
In everything I say and do, let my life honour You
Here I am living for Your glory

The road I'm on that leads nowhere without You
And the life I live that finds meaning and surrender
In view of God's mercy, I offer my all

And take my life, let it be everything, all of me
Here I am, use me for Your glory
In everything I say and do, let my life honour You
Here I am living for Your glory

Seeking first the Kingdom
Seeking first the Kingdom
Of my Lord
